  49.      IV.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  51.           This package contains three printer drivers, each providing
  52.           different font support.  This lets you choose the appropriate
  53.           level of support for your particular situation.

  55.           [Resident Group] files support Printer Resident fonts only.

  57.           [Group A] files support Printer Resident fonts plus Cartridge
  58.           Group A and Download Group A.

  103.           Note 1:  Resident Courier and Resident Courier PC are available in
  104.                    10 and 12 point sizes.  Resident Line Printer and Resident
  105.                    Line Printer PC are available in 8.5 point size.  All other
  106.                    fonts (Resident, Cartridge, and Download) are scalable.

  108.           Note 2:  Download Fonts must be in the same directory as your
  109.                    Word 5.5 printer drivers.

  112.           1.  Copy the appropriate group(s) of files to the directory
  113.               containing your WORD 5.5 software (normally C:\WORD).
  114.  
  115.           2.  To activate the IBM 4039 LaserPrinter driver continue through
  116.               the following steps.
  117.  
  118.           3.  Start Word 5.5.  From the "File" pull-down menu, Select "Printer
  119.               Setup."  The "Printer Setup" screen will appear.

  125.           4.  Using the Tab key, move the cursor to the "Files:" box.  Select
  126.               the appropriate .PRD file (for desired font support) by using
  127.               the Cursor Up/Down keys.

  129.           5.  Move the cursor to the "Printer Name:" box and Select the
  130.               IBM 4039 LaserPrinter.  Note:  If you are using a .PRD file
  131.               that supports Group A or Group B fonts, you will need to
  132.               make the appropriate Printer Name selection (Cartridge or
  133.               Download).

  135.           6.  Move the cursor to the "Connect to:" line and use the Cursor
  136.               Up/Down keys to select the appropriate printer port
  137.               (normally LPT1:).
  138.  
  139.           7.  Other attributes such as Paper Feed and Graphics Resolution
  140.               can also be selected from this screen.
  141.  
  142.           8.  When you have completed your selections, Move the cursor to
  143.               "OK" and Press Enter to acknowledge your choices.  You now
  144.               have made the IBM 4039 LaserPrinter your active printer.
